What the video shows
Create the tournament, configure divisions, receive registrations, build groups and brackets, manage the event desk, score from an umpire phone, and publish the same live state to players and venue screens.
ONE TOURNAMENT, END TO END
A tournament is three jobs, not one
BEFORE
Know whether the plan fits
Registration, waitlists, payment references, staff, and the draw — settled before anyone travels.
DURING
Run one shared operation
Desk, courts, umpires, public schedule, and TV board all read the same live state.
AFTER
Leave a record, not a cleanup
Standings settle, results stay public, exports are ready, the next draft starts clean.
BUILT FOR THE MESSY PART
When the venue gets busy, the system stays explainable
Offline-aware scoring
Unsynced points stay on the scoring device and retry after reconnect.
Role-based access
Give organizers, head umpires, scorers, and volunteers only the job they need.
Traceable changes
Status, entries, payments, staff, schedule, and results leave an operational history.
Recovery and support
Nightly off-site snapshots back the service, with a real support path when something goes wrong.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS
Before you trust it with event day
Do players need accounts?
No. Players can enter with their name and contact details. Accounts are optional for players who want all their entries in one dashboard.
Does PicklePodium collect entry fees?
No. Entry money goes directly to the organizer. PicklePodium records what is due, paid, and still outstanding without becoming the payment middleman.
What happens if venue internet drops?
The scoring console keeps its small unsynced point queue on the scoring device, survives refresh, and retries when the connection returns. Printed schedules remain a sensible venue fallback.
Can staff change organizer settings?
Only co-organizers receive full console control. Head umpires, umpires, scorekeepers, and volunteers have narrower jobs, and important operational changes are retained in the audit history.
Can I reuse last tournament's setup?
Yes. Create a fresh draft with optional divisions, courts, and staff—without copying participants, payments, matches, scores, or signatures.
What support and recovery exist?
Help is available from a real support contact. The platform also takes nightly off-site database snapshots and handles service-wide recovery requests after an impact check.
